I'll be going to disneyland soon and i've been going ever since i was little! Is there any interesting places to visit, new things to try, little secrets or hidden things usually no one would notice? Thanks! :)
I'm planning on getting a Disneyland inspired tattoo. I really want to get something that represents my favorite part, New Orleans Square. I don't want to get the Fleur-De-Lis symbol because that's more symbolic of the actual city. Do you know of any symbol that represents New Orleans Square within Disneyland? I apologize if this ask makes no sense at all. Feel free to ignore it if so. Have a great weekend. :)
I have posted a few things about New Orleans but I can look some more and see what I can find for you!
I am a big fan of Disney themed tattoos there is even a tumblr dedicated to Disney Tattoos you could check them out also.
There seems to be some confusion about some of the Disneyland stories I post. If it is labeled “Disneyland magical Memory” its a story someone submitted to my blog unless otherwise I state that its me.
If you would like to submit a story just send them in my ask box and tell me the title you would like for your story.
Going to Disneyland on a rainy day is the best!!! Our family had a family reunion at “The Happiest Place on Earth” about ten years ago. It was in the middle of the week and so the park closed at 7:00 p.m. We woke up that morning and realized it was raining pretty hard! We weren’t sure the trip to Disneyland was going to happen in lieu of the rain. In the end we decided to brave the elements and head on out to Anaheim. We finally got there and it was cold and blustery, but the rain had stopped. The first place we headed to, after entering Disneyland, was the snack bar right outside the “Pirates of the Carribbean” to grab some hot chocolate. After that, we decided to take advantage of the small crowd at Disneyland and head over to “Big Thunder Mountain.” The lines were so short and non-existent that you could ride “Big Thunder” and jump off the train (you were just on) and get on the exact same train! We did this over and over, and everybody was doing it too, we rode the train with the same group of people for a while. Everybody was in a good mood that day, and all the cast members were in happy moods with care free attutudes. During that memorable day our family, no kidding, went on every single ride in the park (after the day was over we all got together and figured that out). Finally, the clock hit 7:00 and the day at Disneyland was coming to an end. On our way out of the park, while we were walking down Main st, we heard the famous words, “Disneyland is now closed.” At that exact moment the “downpour” started and the rain that had avoided us all day long was once again coming down in “sheets.” It was the end to a truly memorable day at Disnelyland! I’ve been to Disneyland many times since but that was one of the funnest times I ever had there!
I was in Disneyland with three other friends this December. We wanted to see the Small World ride decorated for the holidays. As we headed for Small World (from Matterhorn) a woman approched us. She asked us if we wanted to participate in a television show for the Disney Channel. I said yes, so to make a long story short, I ended up being the center of attention (and a big crowd) as I matched the faces of presidents to the appropriate bills. The crowd cheered for me, which I liked because I like to be the center of attention. There was a television camera on me and everything there, so the crowd must have thought I was a celebrity or an actress. Anyway, as we were leaving the park, I stopped in City Hall to say hello to a wonderful Cast Member I know. She asked us how much time we had left in the park, and we told her we had 20 minutes. She gave us 2 front of the line passes! As we raced through the park I remember thinking what a fabulous day I was having. We rode the two rides and got out to the parking lot where we waited for my mom. Knowing we were late, when Mom wasn’t there I got worried. A security guard came over and said to my friends and me,”You were supposed to be here half and hour ago.” Shocked, my friends and I turned around to see my mother, who had spoken to the security guard earlier. That was the absolute most amazing day! Only later was I to find out all that happened on Walt Disney’s birthday!! That’s the kind of thing you only dream about. I will never forget that day
Once about 2 years ago me my dad and my bro were riding the madahorn when it stoped. THis young couple in front of us started to make out!!!! Then we hered a voice from the speacker saying to plz stop becuse there are small kids around. All 3 of us started to laugh. After that we had a extra bonus throngh in. We got to walk down the whole mountian. It was cool seeing the inside of it. While we walked down with the CM he told us some interesting facts about the place!!!!
Um.. I work World Of Color. We don’t stop letting people into the viewing area. You can come into the viewing area whenever you want, just as long as you have a fast pass. ;P You can also leave and come back~ just saying.
To the previous anon about seeing both WoC and the fireworks: I've went to the WoC one first (forgive me i forgot the time that I went, it's been a while D:) before seeing the last fireworks show. After WoC was done, my bf and I quickly rushed to Disneyland and went to Tom Sawyer Island boarding area since main street was very busy and crowded. We hitched a spot and watched parts of the fireworks from a different angle than usual. We also saw Fantasmic as a bonus from that same spot :)
is it possible to watch fireworks and world of color on the same night? is so how? im planning on going in april with my boyfriend <3 itll be our4 month aniversary <3 if you have tips or anything else we can do in the park thankyou :D
For a show at 10:15, you need to be IN the viewing spot no later than 9:45 if you want to actually see the show at all. Arriving at 9:15-9:30 would be a better idea.
The DL fireworks show is long, close to 20 min, so if you try to watch it, you won’t get out of DL park until 10pm (as the masses will cut your ability to quickly leave). The viewing area for WoC is a good 10 min walk into the park, so you would barely make it. The CMs stop letting people into the viewing areas about 5 min prior to show time.
Try for an an earlier WoC show? Both are worth seeing, but you can’t do the fireworks and the 10:15 show. You can MAYBE do the 9pm WoC and then hoof it over to DL for the fireworks.
I’d hold out hope that they will add an even LATER WoC show. They routinely ran three shows over the summer last year, the latest being at 11pm. Maybe they’ll do this again?
all of the orgional skeletons on the Pirates were real! They used research bodies because the lifelike plastic hadn’t been invented yet. only a few of the real bones are left today. Next time you ride, take a closer look at the bones they might be real!

what are the songs they play after the fireworks.. i love those songs but i dont know the names of them.. seems like nobody does D":
"Remember — Dreams Come True." At the end of the show, they play a song called "Remember When" that was written by Richard Marx and performed by LeAnn Rimes. Right after that they play another song called “Wishes!” performed by Peabo Bryson and Kimberly Locke.
The soundtrack for the fireworks show is available on The Official Album of the Disneyland Resort (2005 CD) and A Musical History of Disneyland (2005 CD Box Set).
About six years ago when my family visited the Magic Kingdom at Easter we decided to ride Space Mountain. After queuing for ages we finally got to get on the ride. However, as my mother was getting in the car after my sister she accidentally slammed the safety bar down on my sister’s leg, making her cry (she was about 8 then) and this was apparently noticed by a cast member. When we got to the unloading station we were approached by a cast member who asked my sister if she was ok and actually asked if we would like another ride because “you [my sister] might not have enjoyed it as much”!! We were then whisked through a “Cast Members Only” door, through some corridors, and arrived back at the loading station - right at the head of the queue - the people at the front of the queue had some funny looks on their faces indeed! I think that this shows how much Disney notices the little details and tries to please every guest!
When I went to disneyland, about a year ago with my cousin, sister, and my best friend. They opened “Mickey’s Toontown” After the fireworks(because thats where they shoot them) There was a large crowd waiting for the cast member to open it. Before he let us in he told us that we are not to run so that we dont knock over any kids in the front. But I was feeling a little “breaking rules”. So I was the first one to Run as fast at my feet could carry and my friend started to run after me and soon enough i spot a elder women running with her baby’s stroller down the hill, and then more running people behind her. Turns out that everybody in the crowd was running. I actually started something. that was funny. Then after we were done riding “Rogers car spin”, We went to go see mickey in his house and take pictures. Well on our way to the photo room just before you see the large movie screen, there are a bunch of boxes. One of them started to talk and we were all wondering where it was from it was saying stuff like “help me” “get me out of here” and then “hey you- the one in the black hair(me) help me” it was kinda creepy untill i heard the cast members laughing. They were the one’s doing it! They have a microphone that they use to make the box say whatever they say. It was so funny. Has anyone else got this trick done to them ?
Every time I go to Disneyland me and my Grandpa go on Pinocchio’s Journey when my brothers and sisters go on Casey Jr. and after the ride we mimick Pinocchoi’s dad so we yell “pinocchoi” The cast members seem to enjoy that . It lightens the mod. You should try it!
Me and my relatives went on Spalash Mountain last summer. My brother was a big fan when he was five. While most kids cryed during the big drop he smiled with arms straight up. I don’t even put my hands up….!Last summer he sat up front with me knowing it was a bad idea .Well during the big drop ge hit his mouth and started bleeding. When we got off the cast members had saw the crying and the blood. They called the nurses closed the ride for about 30 minutes and sent logs and cast members to test it out. After they treated the injury and got up the blood. They offered us to ride it again w/out a wait in line. They gave us 8 fastpasses and free icecream and there apology from the manager. They take a cut lip really seriously! They still havent figured out what ausd the pressure from the log to hit my brother.
